2020 /2021 Updates due to COVID-19

While there is no way to ensure zero risk of infection, the protocol outlined below has been developed weighing the health risks to our students, faculty, and their families with the benefits to their personal, educational, social, emotional, and physical needs.  If you prefer to enroll in online only courses, but still wish to receive a quality classical education, please follow this link for the Memoria Press Online Academy.
August 6th Update
2020/2021 Plan
  • Students attend HLS 4-5 days a week.
  • Students and staff groups will be kept small and as static as possible throughout the day.
  • Nonessential visitors will be restricted.
  • Safety provisions will be made for passing periods and lunch time
Onsite Expectations and Monitoring
  • All HLS faculty and staff will conduct COVID-19 screening before entering the school.
  • Temperature checks may be required for all students, faculty and staff prior to entering the building.  
  • Students or staff who are sick, or present with a temperature of 100 degrees Fahrenheit or higher should stay home to care for them selves and keep others from getting sick.
  • Parents and staff will be kept abreast of required protocols should someone test positive for, or is exposed to COVID-19,
Additional Measures
  • Air purification units will be placed in each classroom (these units have been proven effective at removing 99% of bacteria, molds and viruses)
  • Handwashing stations will be installed and frequent handwashing will be encouraged throughout the school day.
  • Frequently touched surfaces will be disinfected often throughout the day
  • Classrooms will be sanitized with a nightly protocol as well as a more thorough weekly protocol
